I Love You too Much to Fight About Grades

The first marking period will soon conclude for many students.  Others will receive midterm feedback from teachers.  As noted in my last blog, this school year is anything but normal.  Both students and teachers continue to adjust to an 18 month learning-slide due to the pandemic and virtual learning.  Students may have worked harder than ever and may not “reap the benefits” when it comes to their report card.

Parent Teacher Conferences

We have reached the time when students have been with their current teacher for a quarter of the school year. Schools often schedule parent-teacher conferences during the month of November to discuss progress, successes and concerns regarding your child.  I read an article in the Washington Post a few years back and feel it is important to share again as we head to our conferences.  Make the most of your 20 minute slot and use the tips below to help guide the process!
