Unique Leadership Opportunity for High School Students

There are many experiential learning opportunities during the summer months for high school students. Families often find it challenging to identify an educational summer program that offers authentic experiences which help develop leadership and communication skills. Most summer programs geared toward high school students seeking a leadership experience provide simulations and theoretical problems to solve. However, the International Leadership and Business Summit (ILBS), created and hosted by Leadership Initiatives (a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C.) provides a unique and unparalleled opportunity for high school students to create tangible solutions for business owners in developing countries and to see these solutions implemented!

This summer, high school students from across the United States will participate in the International Leadership and Business Summit (ILBS). Held at Georgetown University, students will collaborate with international development experts to create solutions to real-world problems facing small businesses in Northern Nigeria. Professional mentors will hone student leadership skills and acquaint students with the needs of developing communities. Best of all, students will create REAL solutions for REAL business owners across the globe. This unique experience means the students’ work will have an immediate impact. ILBS believes that you are never too young to make a meaningful, authentic impact on your world!

If you know of a high school student who has an interest in leadership, government, business, international relations, non-profit organizations, or social justice, the ILBS conference is a perfect match! Discover details here: http://liempower.org/

If you are affiliated with a high school or community student group and would like Leadership Initiatives to set up an informational meeting, please contact Kristen Wojdan for more details at kwojdan@lichange.org.

All professional and personal affiliates with LS Tutors may use the code: TRANSFORM THE WORLD and receive a $150 savings on the tuition for ILBS. There are also opportunities for additional savings and scholarships.
