Students with whom we work showcase their unique talents which helps promote self confidence and leadership qualities in the classroom. The DC area is known to harbor immense musical talent, yet only a few local artists have been able to break into the mainstream. With the advent of social media, the talent pool is becoming more competitive and globalized. Music programs in DC-area schools offer students the ability to hone their skills and craft, but cannot offer the exposure every music artist needs to be noticed.
“The O” bridges that gap. “The O” offers local young vocalists an opportunity to showcase their vocal skills, express themselves with original music, secure a record deal, and produce a four song EP. This TV program will give students a real chance at a successful music career, highlight the vibrant musical talent in the DC community, and raise awareness about the importance of high school music programs.
